BRIDAL BINGO: Create a custom bingo board full of specific details about the bride and groom’s relationship—like, where did they have their first kiss? What’s the groom’s sign? What is his yearly income? What ultimatum did the bride use to finally pressure the groom into proposing? What designer shoes did the groom buy for the bride after she discovered the emotional affair he was having with his massage therapist?
CANDY BAR GAME: Similar to a popular game played at baby showers, this game requires guests to place different unwrapped candy bars inside of men’s boxers, causing the bars to melt and become unrecognizable. Then the bride must wash the boxers and remove all signs of the “chocolate skid marks” or she is deemed a Bad Wife. (Or alternatively, if the bride is knocked up and she refuses to admit it even though everyone knows, google the baby shower game instructions on your closest iPad and play that instead.)
Your Bachelorette Party
The bachelorette party is another time-honored tradition that marks a woman’s final night out on the town as a “single woman” or “harlot,” and is another example of something you should expect your bridesmaids to throw for you. Much like a birthday party gets a child worked up, a bachelorette party can have a dramatic effect on a bride-to-be. Expectations are high, which often leads to disappointment and tears. But that doesn’t mean you should be holding your bridesmaids to a lower standard; it just means they need to try harder to not disappoint you.
Below is a chart of what is appropriate to cry about at your bachelorette party and what is not.
